Our Centre is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Vancouver close to business resources and the Vancouver Library. Many of the graduates of our programs have won awards as Entrepreneurs. The program offered at Toward Excellence:

• Classroom at Toward Excellence

• The Self-Employment Equity Program (SE Equity) - 48 weeks in duration. Participants receive business training, work with a Business Advisor, receive income support for the duration of the program and access to dynamic speakers, networking opportunities and business peer group support.

A long-standing statistic is that 80% of new businesses fail in the first five years. Over 180 Businesses have been launched through our SE Equity Program with a success rate that would seem to reverse this...

• 90% of our entrepreneur graduates are still in business after the first year
• 80% of our entrepreneur graduates are still in business after the second year
• 79% of our entrepreneur graduates are still in business after the third year

The Government of Canada has contributed funding to this initiative.
