Leal Consulting is owned and operated by Max Leal, president, who has several years of international business experience that comes from both public and private sector management in Canada and abroad. His most extensive work experience comes from 13 years of public services for the Brazilian Consulate in Vancouver, where he served as Trade Officer promoting Brazilian exports into Canada and assisting Canadian importers in obtaining Brazilian goods. He has also held management level positions in Mexico that ranged from Export Sales to General Manager. In Canada he was Sales Manager for 5 years of a chemical manufacturer specialized in water treatment products. Max Leal obtained his higher education in Canada, focusing in International Marketing and Latin American studies.
The company's philosophy is to help Canadian and Latin American companies benefit thoroughly from the globalization of trade and to be less dependent of larger corporations and American dominance in both regions. Max Leal is confident that his networks of associates share the same goals and are determined to succeed. In fact finding companies in Latin America willing to free themselves from the dependency of US and European suppliers is quite easy, the challenge is to convince Canadian manufacturers that doing business in Latin America is not only viable but also potentially very profitable.
