Ron Gordon
Ron’s Entrepreneurial journey started at a young age. He has created and ran a variety of businesses all of which have reflected his own personal passions.
Initially Ron started in the entertainment industry; first as a music teacher, then a performer, and finally into starting ICE Entertainment (Intercontinental Entertainment) a company that promoted, booked and managed top artists (Kenny G, Alanis Morissette etc.) He also turned his talents to consulting, turning round the fortunes of failing nightclubs.
At 23 Ron developed a love of aviation and learned to fly. He spotted a gap in the market and created an aircraft detailing (cleaning) company, specializing in cleaning small general aviation and corporate aircraft. This brought him to the attention of Powell River Air Services and he was offered a 30% partnership and the opportunity to restructure the company.
Bringing his many years business experience and his love of people together, Ron has a natural aptitude and love of training. He started training in 1998 and hasn’t looked back. To date he has worked on The Youth Entrepreneur Program, with Burnaby Board of Trade, The Reach Disability Foundation and The ConecTra Society to name a few. Currently he is an advisor to several entrepreneurship programs including Toward Excellence.
Giving back to the community something close to Ron’s heart and he actively volunteers for a number of local organizations: is a member of many professional organizations: is a sought after guest speaker and is involved in local government and business improvement societies where he acts as a voice for business. He also ran for city Council in his hometown of New Westminster.
Amazingly Ron still finds time to write and teach dog obedience classes; in his own words “I love what I do, and it shows. |
